Overview
This guide walks you through creating your first Payment Link from start to finish. You can use it to sell a digital product, coaching session, webinar, file, subscription, access, or service.
Before you start
· Decide what you want to sell.
· Choose whether the payment should be one-time, monthly, or yearly.
· Prepare a short name and optional description.
· If you are delivering a file, prepare the file before creating the link.
· If you want to redirect buyers after payment, prepare the destination URL.
Step 1: Create your Payment Link
From your Creator Dashboard, click “Create Payment Link.”
Give the link a clear name. For example: “One-on-One Coaching Session.”
You can also add a short description. This is optional, but it can help buyers understand exactly what they are purchasing.
Step 2: Set your price and payment type
Enter your price and choose the payment model.
· One-time payment - use this for a single charge.
· Monthly recurring - use this for a subscription billed every month.
· Yearly recurring - use this for a subscription billed once a year.
You can also choose the currency you want to charge in. For example, you might set the link as a $200 one-time payment in U.S. dollars.
Step 3: Add a coupon code, if needed
Under Advanced Options, you can create a coupon code for discounts or promotions. You can choose a percentage discount, like 50% off, or a fixed discount, like $50 off.
Step 4: Set a purchase limit, if needed
If you want to limit the number of buyers, enter a maximum number of purchases. This is useful for limited spots, exclusive offers, or capped product batches.
Step 5: Choose what happens after payment
After checkout, you can either redirect buyers to a URL or upload a file directly to CommuniPass.
· Redirect to a URL - send buyers to a Google Drive folder, Zoom registration page, private community, course page, or any other link.
· Upload a file - upload a PDF, video, presentation, or other digital asset. CommuniPass hosts the file and redirects buyers to a protected download or streaming link after payment.
Step 6: Share your link
Once your Payment Link is created, copy it and share it anywhere: WhatsApp, Instagram DM, email, newsletters, communities, your bio, or inside another CommuniPass product.
Best practices
· Use a clear product name so buyers understand what they are buying.
· Keep the description short and specific.
· Test the checkout before sending it to a large audience.
· If you upload a file, make sure the file opens correctly after payment.
· If you redirect to a URL, make sure the link is accessible to buyers.
